Great price for clean, comfy room, great location.
Friendly and helpful service. Clean room and good breakfast.
The curtains were worn and did not close completely and there were a couple stains on the sheets, although they were clean.
We were on our way to Mesa Verde National Park, and the Valley Motel was just perfectly situated on our way, midway from Denver to Mesa Verde. The lady at the reception was wonderful, the room was clean and comfortable, spacious, quiet and away from the main road, and the price was right.
The breakfast is skippable, walls are rather thin (will become a problem with noisy neighbours) and the appearance is somewhat shabby.
The Valley Motel sported a clean renovation with care on most details. The towels were nice and fluffy, and the microwave and mini-fridge in the room were a nice way to update an older motel. The complimentary breakfast included make-them-yourself blueberry waffles, as well as sausage, eggs, and all kinds of danishes. The attendants were accommodating and very helpful.
When the proprietors have time, they may consider new curtains or blinds.
The motel advertises that it is newly renovated, and that is clearly true. Our room was crisp and clean, with new appliances. Even the caulk around the sink was new and clean. (We remodeled our own home; we notice such things.) The staff was very helpful and friendly.
The room seemed a little cramped and lacking in usable horizontal surfaces. They put two double beds into a room that would have been better with a single queen sized bed. This latter arrangement would have permitted having a larger chest of drawers with a top surface for placing suitcases, etc. It would also have allowed for a second chair around the small table.
Good location, comfortable bed.
One trash can for the entire room - including bathroom. No wall outlets for plugging in laptops, hair dryer. Room was not frully cleaned between first and second night. Shower SUCKED!!!!
Room a bit dated, but very comfortable new bed, new carpets and breakfast above average with cooked eggs.
gr8 suprise. I was a little dubious when I pulled in. A lot of geusts working summmer road crews. But.. the placve is family owned and operated. Gr8 with kids. best value for my $$$ in years. Quite, clean big breakfast. No BS just clean and cheap. New bedding ect. Would come back w/ my kids.
plumbing in shower was alittle drippy.
Simple hotel, but tries hard and has it where it counts. Friendly owners. Rooms unremarkable (recently redone, though still has old, beat-up doors) but comfy enough, and with small fridge, microwave, and coffe maker - unusual in a hotel this cheap. Very impressed with the breakfast: eggs, bacon, waffle maker) plus fruit, cereal, etc. Just up street: good pizza parlor, and outdoors shop that rents sled and sandboards for Great Sand Dunes NP.
Need to finish renovations. Need new doors (beat-up, and two inch gap at base). Could stand to replace aging A/C-heating units.
The hotel was noisy we could hear people upstairs and the ice machine in the next room. We asked for extra towels twice and finally had to go to the front desk with the dirty towels before we were given extra towels.
Room was spacious and clean. Liked the full refrigerator and kitchen layout. Quiet location and facilities.
Air conditioning weak and didn't cool the room very well. No closet to hang articles of clothing. Very poor breakfast in that the milk was sour, the jams were very old and dry, and bread was stale. Only ate first morning, then felt like we had to eat out.
Staff was very friendly. Room was very clean and spacious. All furnishings looked new and was freshly painted. I would not hesitate to stay here again and recommend to a friend. Also a super value for the money!
My biggest impression was the friendliness of the staff. Everyone we encountered was very courteous and helpful. The room was also very clean and access to the motel was very convenient. I would definitely recommend it to others if they are not looking for luxury.
The location. We were attending an event at Adams State College and it was very convenient.
Because of the activities scheduled during our weekend, demand for rooms was high. The only issue I had with the Valley Motel was that it was expensive for the type of room we had.
We were passing through Alamosa on our vacation and needed a clean, comfortable room for the night. This is exactly what we got. Nothing special, nothng luxurious, but perfect for the price. The staff was sweet and helpful.
